Edgar Co. IL residents can sign up for emergency alerts

EDGAR COUNTY, Ill. (WTHI) - The Edgar County Alert replaces the county's old warning sirens. If an emergency occurs, an alert can be sent out to thousand of people in minutes.
 

If you want to receive cell phone and email alerts, you must sign-up. To do that go to www.edgarcountyalert.org and click on the flashing red light and fill out the registration page.

If you don't have a computer, you can still sign up by going to the Paris or Chrisman libraries.
 

If you have a land line phone, you're automatically enrolled to receive the alerts.
