CLARK COUNTY, ILL (WTHI) - Millions of dollars are being spent to make sure that everyone participates in the 2010 census.

Warren LeFever is a chair person for the 2010 census complete count committee in Clark County, Illinois. LeFever sent away for products with the 2010 census logo on them to help promote those living in the area to take the survey.

Clark County budgeted around $2,000 to help promote the census. LeFever estimates that 140-million dollars is being spent on marketing items like the ones he sent away for.

The census is a big way, small communities can get more money from the 400 Billion dollar pot.

"There is a tremendous amount of revenue which is divided up by population and this revenue is essential for your roads, your healthcare, governmental and school operations," LeFever said.
