TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Cyclists kicked off their Saturday early for a good cause.

Saint Benedict's Parish hosted their annual Hauteans in Motion Saturday.

It's a bike ride that raises money for the church while emphasizing our community's trail system and healthy living.

Folks had the option of a 67, 50, 25, and 10 mile route across Terre Haute.

This is their seventh year.

"This year's one of our largest, we have I think about 150 maybe, perhaps 160 riders. We've hovered around 100 for a number of years, so we're real pleased with the jump, especially with the heat that we've had," Hauteans in Motion Committee Member Andrea Myers said.

The bike ride is held in conjunction with St. Benedict's annual festival.
