TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A local business does their part to honor the victims of 9/11.
For the past two years, Baesler's Market in Terre Haute has placed 2,977 American flags on their lawn.
Each flag represents a life lost during the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
Owner Bob Baesler says its their small way of commemorating those that gave the ultimate sacrifice.
"As awful as that day was 11 years ago, I think it is important that we never forget," Baesler said."Just the commotion that that caused and the number of people that were affected by that terrorism attack."
Baesler's plans to continue putting the flag display out every year on September 11.
