WASHINGTON, Ind. (WTHI) - Four people are in Evansville hospitals after a Sunday evening crash.
It happened just south of Washington, Indiana on State Road 57 at around 6:30 p.m in front of Jones and Sons and the Wabash Valley Eye Center.
Police say a Mitsubishi Eclipse was traveling south when it crossed the center line, hitting a Mercury Sable.
Three people in the Sable, Carlos Carpio, Mario Sanchez, and Jose Vasquez are all in an Evansville hospital.
The driver of the Eclipse, Arthur Sanchez, ran from the scene but was soon found behind the Wabash Valley Eye Center.
He was also taken by helicopter to an Evansville hospital.
All four victims are believed to be in serious.. but stable condition.
An investigation continues.
