SULLIVAN CO., Ind. (WTHI) - One person was injured as a result of an accident involving three vehicles in Sullivan County Tuesday morning.
Sullivan County Sheriff’s Deputies and Indiana State Police Troopers responded to a call about a multiple vehicle accident on US 41 and S.R. 58 in Carlisle, Ind.
Upon arrival, the Officers discovered at least one of the drivers involved of the accident had been injured and was taken to the Sullivan County Community Hospital for treatment of hip and internal pain.
The initial investigation revealed a white 2010 Ford F150 pickup driven by Eden Bault, 30, of Odon, Ind. was driving west bound on SR 58 and drove into the path of a silver 2003 Saturn driven by Cary Dohner, 64 driving south bound on US 41.
The broadside impact of the two vehicles then forced Bault’s vehicle into a red, 1969 Chevy C-50 grain truck driven by Clifford Orr, 27, of Carlisle, Ind. Orr was eastbound on SR 58 waiting to cross US 41.
Dohner was the only one injured from the initial impact and was transported to Sullivan County Community Hospital to be treated for hip and internal pain.
Officers have stated that neither drugs nor alcohol were factors in the crash. All involved parties were wearing seatbelts during the crash.
The crash was investigated by ISP Trooper B. J. Patterson. Assisting were the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, Sullivan County EMS, Haddon Township Fire/Rescue, and the Carlisle Town Marshal’s Office.
