On Wednesday, the Outback Steakhouse in Terre Haute hosted Luncheon for Life where all the proceeds from the lunch went to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive systems of around 30,000 young adults and kids.

Organizers say events like Wednesday's lunch are important because they raise money that goes directly towards research and hopefully a cure.

"Drug companies aren't willing to invest money in a disease that affects so few so all of our fundraising that we do goes directly to our national office," said Brenda Jay, the Cystic Fibrosis Coordinator.

The Great Strides Walk for Cystic Fibrosis will take place in Terre Haute on Sunday, May 16th at Deming Park.
