Rose-Hulman President dies

A legacy of positive change was left in his wake

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology announced Friday its president died after a medical incident in his office.
President Matt Branam was rushed to Union Hospital after the medical emergency in his office, and died shortly after arriving.
    
Branam, a native of Terre Haute, graduated from Rose-Hulman in 1979 with a degree in civil engineering. He served at the leadership post at the university for three years.

His leadership helped maintain Rose-Hulman’s status as having one of the greatest undergraduate engineering programs.


School officials planned to announce an interim leader Friday afternoon.
