BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WTHI) - A Saturday evening robbery and shooting left one Cloverdale man dead.
On Saturday, November 3rd at 11:48 p.m. Bloomington (Indiana) Police responded to a report of a robbery and a shot fired at 2600 East Dekist in Bloomington. One victim, later identified as Joshua Huber, 25, of Cloverdale, had a gunshot wound and was transported to IU Health Bloomington Hospital where he died.
Occupants of the house told police that 5 men entered the house demanding drugs and money, and then pistol whipped and beat some of the victims. There was one shot fired, striking Mr. Huber. The assailants were described as black males, with bandannas over their faces, wearing hooded clothing with the hoods pulled up.
Bloomington Police detectives are continuing to investigate and believe that the selection of this address for a robbery was not a random act. Personnel will not be able to respond to further questions about this incident today but will provide updated releases when information warrants.
