INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Nine more Indiana National Guard soldiers are back in Indiana. Monday night, family and friends greeted the soldiers from the 76th Infrantry Brigade at the Indianapolis International airport.

This is the latest group of servicemen and women to come back after spending 9 months in Iraq.

The soldiers said it's great to be home.

"It's fantastic. It's been a long time coming. I'm ready to be here. I'm ready to be here. It's so great to be here. Excellent welcoming reception. It was lovely," said Chad Ayinde, 76th Infantry Brigade.

The soldiers will head to Camp Atterbury for demobilization before going home to their families. The National Guard says over the next week 20 more soldiers will come home.

Around 3,000 have returned to the Hoosier state in the past three weeks.
