INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WTHI) - Reports show many drivers will continue to text while driving, even though they know the risks.
Tuesday, Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller announced a campaign with AT&T and State Senator Thomas Wyss to continue stressing the dangers of distracted driving.
The AT&T campaign consists of true stories and the final text messages sent or received before life altering crashes.
"There're a lot of people that talk about well you know 'Do you really need to do this? Is this really something of that important?' I think anytime you're talking about someone else taking the life of someone because of something they did irresponsibly, i think that we do as government have the obligation to make sure that they don't, they don't do do it," State Sen. Thomas Wyss said.
In 2009, the Indiana General Assembly passed a Graduated Drivers License law that prohibits Hoosier drivers 18 and younger from texting while driving.
