Airport ranked best for shopping, dining

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Indianapolis International Airport has once again been recognized by Airport Revenue News.

The airport has won first-place in four categories for the 2012 year:
·         Best Overall Concessions Program (third consecutive year)

·         Best Concessions Program Design (third consecutive year

·         Best Concessions Management Team (second consecutive year)

·         Best Customer Service (also won in 2011)

The Indianapolis International Airport has won best Airport and concession since 2009.

Robert Duncan, executive director for the Indianapolis Airport Authority, said "We applaud our business partners for helping us create an outstanding customer experience for the millions of residents and visitors who pass through our airport every year. Our diverse selection of quality shopping and dining options, including uniquely local selections, is part of what makes IND such a great gateway to our region."

Last week, Indianapolis International Airport was named the 2012 best airport in North America by Airports Council International’s annual Airport Service Quality awards.

The other top airports by region were:

    Africa: Cape Town
    Asia-Pacific: Seoul Incheon
    Europe: Moscow Sheremetyevo
    Latin America–Caribbean: Cancun
    Middle East: Abu Dhabi
