TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A large Terre Haute company recently teamed up with Vigo County’s Wellness For Life clinic, almost doubling the clinics patient volume.

Friday Advics, a brake pad manufacturing plant located in Terre Haute jumped on board with Vigo County's Wellness for Life clinic, making it the first company to do so.

Dr. Kayur Patel, founder of Vigo County’s Wellness for Life clinic says Advics’s four-hundred employees will double the clinics patient volume, ultimately allowing the clinic to stay open longer for its patients.

The clinic was recently open to anyone employed by the county but as of July 2nd Advics will also have access to the clinic.

Dennis Handschu, Senior Manager at Advics says over the years medical costs have increased greatly, causing the company for six years to search for a cheaper but still efficient health concept for its employees.

“Vigo County made the initial investment and opened the actual facility so it allows us to join without a lot of up front costs and that’s a big impact for us,” said Handschu.

Wellness For Life was designed to help employees with three ideas in mind, cost, time and convenience.

The clinic was also designed as a co-op model, an on-site clinic concept with the possibility of opening its doors to other companies similar to Advics.
