ANGOLA, Ind. (AP) - - A northeastern Indiana park is offering free toboggan rides to whoever correctly guesses when a towering pile of snow in the park's parking lot finally melts away.
Although spring officially begins Wednesday, cold weather has left the snow pile created by crews clearing snow from Pokagan (poh-KAY'-gun) State Park's parking lot standing tall.
The Herald Republican reports (http://www.kpcnews.com ) that staff at the Angola park are inviting people to guess when the final crystal of snow will melt away and to email their guesses to the park's naturalist staff or to the park's Facebook page.
The deadline to enter a guess is March 31. The winner and the runner-up will receive toboggan slide passes for next season, which opens in about eight months.
