TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A teenage girl accused of killing her uncle is behind bars along with a 20-year-old man.
Maria Pacheco, 16, has been on the run since her uncle's death earlier this week along with 20-year-old Jarrod Riley.
Police in Tennessee got a tip from Illinois authorities after a food stamp debit card was used to purchase items from a Wal-Mart in Camden, Tennessee, about 85 miles west of Nashville.
As the Camden police showed up to get surveillance video, thinking the pair was long gone, the card was used again at a nearby grocery store.
They made it to the parking lot just as Riley and Pacheco were about to leave.
According to police, they have both confessed about their roles in Arnulfo Pacheco's murder.
Both Riley and Pacheco have been denied bail.
Riley is currently behind bars in the Benton County Jail and is due back in court Wednesday.
As a 16-year-old, Pacheco has been taken to a juvenile detention center in Memphis and is due back in court Monday.
No one is sure what brought the pair to Camden, Tennessee but it is thought they were on their way to Texas.
