Police investigate death at local jail

CLARK COUNTY, Ill. (WTHI) - Illinois State Police are investigating an inmate's death, after officials found the inmate's body in a cell.

Investigators said jailers found the inmate dead over the weekend.

We don't have a lot of details right now; however, we do know that Clark County officials handed the investigation over to Illinois State Police.

News 10 reached out to police tonight for more information.
