LAWRENCE CO., Ill. (WTHI) - A house fire at Lake Lawrence in Lawrence County, IL is under investigation.

The fire started around 8:00 a.m. CDT on Friday morning.

The home was occupied by Kerri Schwartz.

According Schwartz, a neighbor stopped by and told her that her garage was on fire, which allowed Schwartz and all others inside to exit the home safely.

Firefighters from the Lawrence Allison Fire Dept., as well as a few other fire departments, responded to the fire scene where they were able to extinguish the blaze.

At the present time, it has not been determined if the home is a total loss.

No injuries were reported.

In the meantime, Schwartz is trying to salvage what she can from the charred remains of the home.
