MARSHALL, Ill. (WTHI) - Illinois schools are gearing up for a return, but with state money problems, some schools are concerned.
News 10 has told you about the millions of dollars that Illinois owes local school districts. At least $300 thousand of it should be going towards Marshall schools.
News 10 caught up with Marshall's superintendent. He said they're in a pretty good space even with the debt.
That's because they've been responsible with the money that they've received.
"One of the things that we do have going here is that we've been very conservative and responsible here with the finances that we do get locally," Superintendent Kevin Ross said.
