Man accused of sexually assaulting kids

A 71-year-old professional photographer in southern Illinois is charged with 90 counts of sexual assault involving two children younger than 10 years old.

Prosecutors in Saline County have charged Kermit Albin with 50 counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and 40 counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault.

Harrisburg police contend Albin's misconduct took place over the past two years and that he has confessed to the assaults.

Albin operated his photo studio for decades out of his home, although police don't believe the victims were his clients.

He remains jailed, awaiting a court appearance.

Albin doesn't have a listed telephone number and couldn't be reached for comment.
