Human remains found in Jasper Co.

NEWTON, Ill. (WTHI) - The Jasper County Sheriff's Department is investigating the discovery of human remains.

Officials say the human skeletal remains were found in a wooded area near Newton, Illinois.

Officers are conducting a search of the area for additional information.
