Friends of Pacheco claim she's not guilty

MARSHALL, Ill. (WTHI) - Becki Kendall and Emma Youngblood said they know Maria Pacheco.
"And ever since she moved to school, I've became one of her best friends," Kendall said.
"She is really shy but once you get to know her she's a really awesome person," Youngblood added.
That's why they don't think the allegations against their friend are true.
Instead they believe Jarrod Riley is most likely responsible.
The girls believe he and Maria were in a relationship.
"She [Maria] said they were dating. They were always texting. So they seemed the good friends," Kendall said.
Even Maria's found guilty, Youngblood and Kendall said they'll still be friends. "It won't change anything. She's always been my best friend and she always will be, no matter what."
Pacheco and Riley are expected to be back in court for a prelimenary hearing Monday August 16.
