CRAWFORD CO, Ill. (WTHI) - A rash of burglaries has some Illinois Sheriff's Deputies speaking out.
Over the weekend, four churches were hit by thieves in Crawford County.
Deputies said the thieves only took certain electronic items like speakers and microphones.
All the other valuables were left in place.
Because of the similarities, Deputies believe all those thefts could be connected. It's a reason why they want folks in the area to be on the look out.
"To churches locally that haven't been broken into, [they should] use a little bit more precaution, maybe lock their equipment up somewhere," Crawford County Sheriff Todd Liston said.
Sheriff Liston also informed the public to keep an eye out for anyone suspicious selling speakers or microphones in the area.
Meanwhile, Crawford County isn't the only Illinois area seeing an up tick in break-ins. Clark County is reporting several personal property thefts and break-ins over the last few days. At this point, there is no word on a connection.
If you have any information about any of the stolen items, contact your local crime stoppers.
