Police search for 2 men after robbery at SIUE

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (AP) — An armed robbery overnight on the campus of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville has police looking for two men.

Authorities say a 20-year-old male student was confronted by two men around 1 a.m. Monday at the Cougar Village student housing complex.

The university has issued an alert to students by text message and on the school's website. One suspect is described as in his 20s, thin and wearing a black jacket and stocking cap and carrying a handgun. The second suspect also is described in his 20s and thin with a gray coat and stocking cap.
