WHEATON, Ill. (AP) — A DuPage County judge has ruled against defense attorneys and prosecutors, saying cameras will be allowed in court during the trial of a man accused of killing three members of a suburban Chicago family.
Paul Darrah is a spokesman for the county's state's attorney's office. He says Judge Daniel Guerin did reduce the number of cameras he will allow in court during the trial of Johnny Borizov. Darrah says the judge also announced Monday that cameras will be turned off when witnesses testify who were in the home at time of the March 2010 slayings in Darien. Cameras also won't be on during the testimony of a jailhouse informant.
The judge is allowing cameras when confessed triggerman Jacob Nodarse (noh DAHR' say) testifies. The trial is scheduled for April 16.
