Ill. students challenged to make air quality video

CHICAGO (AP) — High school students in the Chicago area have a few more weeks to get entries in for a contest to produce a public service announcement on the importance of improving the city's air quality.

The video contest is being sponsored by the Illinois Partners for Clean Air, and the first place prize is $3,000.

Entrants must write, direct and produce a 60-minute PSA on the steps residents can take to improve air quality and stay healthy.

It's called the Shoot For the Skies PSA and the deadline is March 15. Winners will be announced in April, which is Earth Month.

The three top submissions will be posted to YouTube.
