GOP race in Jackson Jr.'s district not called

CHICAGO (AP) — The Republican primary in the race to replace former Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. is still too close to call.
With 97 percent of precincts reporting in the Chicago area 2nd District, only a few votes separated Paul McKinley of Chicago and Eric Wallace of Flossmoor.
Former state Rep. Robin Kelly won the Democratic nomination. She's widely expected to win the April 9 special election because the district is strongly Democratic. Kelly former Congresswoman Debbie Halvorson and Chicago Alderman Anthony Beale.
Jackson resigned in November. He pleaded guilty this month to federal conspiracy charges for spending $750,000 in campaign funds for personal use.
