JOLIET, Ill. (AP) — Drew Peterson addressed Will County State's Attorney James Glasgow during his courtroom outburst.
Peterson was sentenced to 38 years in prison on Thursday in the 2004 death of his third wife, Kathleen Savio. Peterson gave an emotional statement before the judge sentenced him. During that statement Peterson sarcastically told Glasgow that he could celebrate because he had destroyed Peterson's life.
Peterson challenged Glasgow to look him in the eyes. In response, Glasgow laid down his pen, folded his arms and looked straight at Peterson. Peterson then replied to Glasgow, telling him to "never forget what you've done here."
Peterson for months before his arrest seemed to thumb his nose at Glasgow's investigation. Peterson talking about being on a television show and joking about a "Win a Date With Drew" contest.
