AURORA, Ill. (AP) — A display honoring Vietnam War veterans that's been traveling nationwide for years is coming back to suburban Chicago.
The Moving Wall Vietnam Veterans Memorial will be in Aurora around Veterans Day. It's a smaller replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.
It'll be on display at the practice soccer fields of West Aurora High School from November 7 to Nov. 11. The wall was last in Aurora more than two decades ago.
The wall is engraved with the names of nearly 60,000 Americans who died or are still unaccounted for.
Rudy Keller is a principal of West Aurora High School and a member of the committee bringing the wall to Aurora. Keller says the wall will heighten patriotism.
Organizers expect more than 100,000 people to visit the memorial.
