PORT AU PRINCE, Haiti. (WTHI) - "Things aren't back to normal, but certainly improving," American Red Cross worker Winne Romeril said Thursday.
News 10 spoke with Romeril who is stationed in Port Au Prince, Haiti as part of the massive relief effort.
The 7.0 earthquake last week left the city in ruins and millions homeless.
Romeril says the Red Cross is still in greatest need for money. Every $10 text donation buys a day-long kit that treats 15-20 people a day. She says that is really saving lives.
Some roads are finally clearing of rubble and people are starting to recover according to Romeril.
A global telethon called "Hope for Haiti" will air right here on CBS Friday at 8p.m. EST. Celebrities have volunteered to host and donation information will be broadcasted.
