As the economy goes up, so does energy prices.

Also, the price of gas normally goes up around the start of summer vacation which is typically Memorial Day, this has analysts saying we could see prices go up to $3 a gallon by May.

On Thursday, around the Wabash Valley, a gallon of unleaded gas is going for between $2.64 and $2.79 a gallon, which is right around the national average of $2.76 a gallon.

If you remember when gas prices were really high, people were paying it, but said it left them with less money for clothes and other items.
