It is the Financial Literacy Conference hosted by students in the Financial Management Association.

People of all ages showed up to learn how to handle their finances.

Topics ranged from credit cards to mortgages and financial planning to home insurance.

"We just thought it was very important to do a community service event, to engage the community and help them better understand where their money goes and how to spend and how to save," co-director of the conference Tony Askins said.

Questions were welcomed by speakers and business students in an effort to make attendees more money savvy.
