TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Few people seem to be concerned about the snow this weekend.

Local people said they are not afraid of a couple inches. In fact, few people have begun preparation for the snow.

That is according to an employee of Paitson Brothers hardware store. He said sales of snow gear have been slow.

"We got plenty of supplies and stuff for people when the snow gets here but most people will wait. They're not in, Terre Haute people are not in too big a hurry. They always wait til the last minute," Gary Hamke said.

Even two inches of snow can create dangerous road conditions. Ice can be hidden underneath the snow and even a little snow can make the roads slick. If you have to drive, use caution and give yourself some extra time to get where you're going.
