Fatal Stabbing in Greencastle

One man is dead, and another arrested in Greencastle stabbing incident.

At around 6pm Wednesday, Greencastle police were dispatched to 906 Crown St. in Greencastle.

Upon officers arrival Tommie Badgley age 53 was found inside the residence suffering from a stab wound to the upper chest.  The suspect Thomas Badgley age 21 was taken into custody without incident.

Investigators determined after interviewing witnesses at the scene that the parents Tommie and Debbie Badgley were contacted due to a medical issue with their son Thomas Badgley.

Once the parents arrived at the son’s residence a physical altercation took place between Tommie Badgley and Thomas Badgley which resulted in the son stabbing the father, Tommie.

Tommie Badgley was later pronounced dead at the Putnam County Hospital.

Thomas Badgley is currently in custody at the Putnam County Jail pending charges by Putnam County Prosecutor.
