TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - It was certainly not the way Colts fans envisioned Super Bowl Sunday ending.
The crowd at Beef O Brady's held out hope, even cheering after a big play at the end of the game.
Fans were glued to their seats, with worried looks on their faces hoping that Peyton Manning could pull out a last second victory.
"I truly believed we were going to win so i'm disappointed" said Colts fan Melissa Stigall. "I thought we were going to win."
But in the end, it was the few Saints fans like Nathan Disney in the restaurant who could truly celebrate the game.
"Oh it's amazing, that last pick," said Disney. "Just everyone got so quiet."
The crowd starting filing out of Beef O Brady's after that last interception.
"You know it was a disappointment," aid Colts fan Harry Cruse. "Life goes on. There will be a next time, next year. It's over. Congrats to the Saints."
But Sunday night was for the most part, just disappointment for the home team. And a realization that even after a 14 and 0 start, the season was all for naught.
