TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - It's a journey with a cause, as a family travels across the country in the saddle.
Tim Tuggle and his wife have been traveling across the United States since 2010. They're traveling from California to North Carolina where their son is stationed for the military.
Tuggle says they're riding cross country to encourage people to pray for our nation's leaders, God, and the military.
They ride all day until they can't ride anymore and need to rest.
"Sometimes we camp; we sleep in sleeping bag. We slept in motels, we slept in churches, we slept in stables, people's homes, people's yards, in the desert, in the red wood forest; wherever we're at when we get tired usually," said Tuggle.
Along the way, the Tuggles have made friends with people they've met in passing.
Some jumped on board with their cause and tagged along for the ride.
Every member has a horse to ride, even their dog.
