TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - The Energy Assistance office in Terre Haute is giving out a free energy saving kit for those who already qualify for energy assistance.

The kit contains valuable items like CFL light bulbs. CFL bulbs last 12 times longer than traditional light bulbs and have energy savings of 75 percent.

The kits also include a self-stick door sweep to prevent drafts from cracks under doors. An LED night light comes with the kit as well. The night light has a sensor, and is only activated when the room is dark.

Folks getting the kit can also save with a low flow showerhead. The showerhead saves consumers water as well as the energy required to heat the water.

Those interested in getting a kit need to make an appointment by calling 812-234-3517.
