Saint Mary of the Woods College homecoming kicks off Friday

SAINT MARY OF THE WOODS, Ind. (WTH - Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College will celebrate its fifth Homecoming in style with a wide range of activities.

Homecoming fun starts Friday, September 28 with games, a cookout and bonfire. A pancake breakfast kicks-off the day on Saturday, September 29. Nearly 200 alums, families and friends are expected to converge on the campus.

There is something for everyone with this year's celebration.

The athletic spirit will permeate the campus as the Pomeroy’s square off for a softball game with Lincoln Trail College and a soccer game with Lindenwood University. An equine showcase rounds out the athletic events as students demonstrate their equestrian skills.

Throughout the day, families can participate at the Kid’s Zone and relax on the horse and wagon rides. The ever-popular Bats and Rats returns as guests are treated to this historic underground tour.

Friday, September 28

  • 3:00 p.m.   Pomeroy Pride Games
  • 5:00 p.m.   Student Cookout
  • 8:00 p.m.   Bonfire

Saturday, September 29

  • 9 a.m.   Pomeroy Pride Pancake Breakfast
  • 10:30 a.m.  Parent Association Meeting
  • 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Beer and Brat Tent Kids' Zone Fun Zone
  • 11 a.m.  Softball Game – Lincoln Trail College
  • 2 p.m.  Soccer Game – Lindenwood University
  • 1-3 p.m.  Equine Showcase
  • 1:30 p.m.  Bats and Rats Tours (every 15 minutes)
  • 1:30-3:30 p.m.  Tractor, Horse and Wagon Rides
