VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - Some Vigo County parents are getting hundreds of dollars from the school corporation.
Parents who paid for full-day kindergarten in Vigo County got some of their money back.
The school corporation said they had an overwhelming response for the kindergarten program and got some money from the state, as well.
“We had more kids enrolled than we expected, and on top of that we also had a lower teacher cost and a higher student-teacher ratio,” Vigo County Schools Superintendent Danny Tanoos said. “With all those things combined we were able to give this refund that we were able to send to parents.”
Depending on how much the parents paid, they got several hundred dollars back.
