TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Keeping your children as safe as possible is one of the top concerns every parent and caregiver has on their minds.
That’s the message for this month’s Family Resource Series being held at St. Patrick’s School in Terre Haute.
The recent massacre in Newton, Conn. has brought light to an ongoing issue regarding your child’s safety in our schools.
Phil Chalmers is a national authority on the issue and will break down what every parent needs to know when it comes to the warning signs.
St. Patrick’s Principal Amy McClain said there’s no harm in learning more about keeping your children safe.
“Honestly, I think knowledge is power. And, for families to leave here with more than they knew when they first came, it is a benefit. The more that you know, the more you can share with your children, the more you can be alert and aware of people around your children,” McClain said.
The Family Resource Series will take place at St. Patrick’s School gym tomorrow night at 6:30 p.m.
A $5 donation is requested.
