TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Indiana State University students and staff gathered to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
February 10 marks the first day heading into the Year of the Snake.
More than 250 people were at the celebration, which included traditional Chinese song and dance, as well as dinner.
For the Chinese, this celebration kicks off 15 days of celebration in honor of the change.
It’s considered the most important holiday of the year.
