IStep score released this week and the state average went up a bit.
South Vermillion School Corporation Superintendent Dave Chapman says students in their schools have some of the biggest gains in the state.
They had a 75.9 percent pass rate, well above the state average of 70 percent.
Chapman says students and teachers worked hard to achieve this success.
"And we've made some adjustments and put the focus where it needed to be, and through the efforts of the teachers and the students, the results came through like we had hoped and even exceeded what we'd hoped for in some case,” Chapman added.
