VINCENNES, Ind. (WTHI) - One woman was arrested after police discovered she lied about an unknown male breaking into her home, strangling her and fleeing.
Investigators arrested Mattinglee Foster, 20, of Vincennes for False Informing and Making a Fraudulent Police Report.
Foster reported, at her home at 87 Thompson Dr. during late morning on June 28, an unknown male intruder broke into her home, strangled her and then fled towards Hart St.
However, subsequent investigations led investigators to believe that no crime occurred and the report was fabricated.
During a second interview with Foster, she revealed that she lied about the report and the injuries were self-inflicted.
Foster was arrested and charged with False Reporting and taken to the Knox County Jail. Foster was held on $3000 bond.
