Woman facing battery charges after beating husband

VERMILLION CO., Ind. (WTHI) - A Vermillion County, Ind. woman is now facing charges after Deputies said she beat her sick husband.

Vermillion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Cynthia Pugh after she allegedly beat her husband, whom was sick with cancer, at their home.

Pugh’s husband died, but Deputies weren’t able to connect his death to the assault.

Pugh faces charges of Battery Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury and is scheduled to appear before a judge on January 14.
