Woman arrested for trafficking drugs into a correctional facility

CARLISLE, Ind. (WTHI) - Police report today that a Fort Wayne woman has been taken into custody for allegedly trafficking drugs and tobacco, through the mail, to the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility.
Teresa Olsen, 48, allegedly put narcotic pills and tobacco inside a legal book which had been altered and sent to her by her son, offender Tyson Keplinger.
Correctional Police Officer Frank Littlejohn discovered the plan through gathered intelligence and worked with the facility mail room to intercept the delivery last month.
Last night Fort Wayne Police acted on the Sullivan County warrant and took Olsen into custody.
She is being transported from Allen to Sullivan County facing a Class C Felony for Trafficking Narcotic Pills and a Class A Misdemeanor for Trafficking Tobacco.
Keplinger, 28, is now housed in segregation with conduct rule and criminal charges pending.
He is currently serving a 40 year sentence on Huntington County Murder and Attempted Murder convictions.
His earliest release date is June of 2029. Bond for Olsen has been set at $19,000.
