Two Gibault escapees back in custody

VIGO CO., Ind. (WTHI) - Two escaped female juveniles are back in custody after having led Sheriff’s deputies on a brief foot chase.

Saturday evening, Vigo County Sheriff’s Deputies Ewing, Davis and Kenworthy and Sergeant Bell responded to a call to dispatch about two escaped female juveniles from the Gibault campus in Terre Haute.

Deputy Kenworthy located the two juveniles on the 6000 block of S. Carlisle St., in Terre Haute. Once discovered, the two juveniles fled on foot, reported the Sheriff’s Department.

After a short chase, Deputy Kenworthy apprehended the two juveniles. The Deputies then transported the two juveniles back to the Gibault facility.
