Two arrested for meth in Knox Co.

KNOX CO., Ind. (WTHI) - At approximately 2:12 p.m. on Friday two Indiana State Police Troopers pulled at 1995 Nissan pickup truck over at 4th St. and Barnett in Vincennes, IN, after having received information stating the vehicle had been trespassing in a cornfield south of Vincennes near the Wabash River.

Senior Trooper Bill Gadberry and Trooper Doug Francis approached the pickup and immediately noticed a strong chemical odor associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

A search of the vehicle revealed a small baggie containing meth.

It was also determined that the driver, Robert C.W. Getchell, 35, of Bicknell, IN and his passenger, Brandon Parish, 25, of Vincennes, IN, dumped liquid meth on the front passenger floorboard just before getting pulled over.

The owner of the cornfield later showed the Troopers the location where he originally spotted the pickup.

Upon investigation, the Troopers found a tank of anhydrous ammonia and other items commonly used to manufacture meth.

Getchell and Parish were arrested fro Manufacturing Meth, Possession of Precursors and Possession of Meth.

Assisting in the arrest were Trooper Ryan Johnson, the Vincennes Police Dept. and the Knox Co. Sheriff’s Office.
