A Terre Haute man is sentenced to prison time after pleading guilty to a charge of sexual misconduct with a minor.
Police first arrested Craig Coterel earlier this year on charges that he had sexual relations with a 14-year-old girl when he was 21 years old.
This summer, Coterel pleaded guilty to a felony charge of sexual misconduct with a minor, as well as a misdemeanor charge of invasion of privacy.
Under a plea agreement with prosecutors, Coterel was sentenced to eleven years with the Indiana Department of Corrections, with six of those years to be served in prison and five years to be suspended and served on formal probation.
Coterel would also be required to register as a sex offender.
