Armed Robber steals alcohol from local business

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - An armed robber managed to steal a few bottles of alcohol from a Terre Haute business and escape.

The robbery happened at T’s Lounge at 1612 S. 7th St. around 8:45 a.m. Saturday.

When Terre Haute Police responded to the call, their initial investigation revealed that a man, described as mixed-race, 20-30-years-old, 5 feet 11 inches, with a thin build and wearing dark clothing and a dark bandana on his face, pulled a handgun on a custodian, demanding money.

Police said once the robber realized he wouldn’t be getting any money, he stole three bottles of vodka and ran out.

The THPD will be handling the investigation.
