Police: Man had drugs, daughter in car

VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - A man is arrested with drugs and his daughter in the car.

Jay Lindley was arrested Monday on Poplar and State Road 46 in Terre Haute.

Police said Lindley was driving under the influence of an illegal substance when he collided with another vehicle.

Then after the crash, police said he went into a near-by wooded area and disposed of illegal drugs.

Meanwhile his 12-year-old daughter was in the car with him.

Lindley was arrested on some traffic charges, as well as possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia and operating a vehicle while under the influence of an illegal substance.

He's expected to be formally charged Friday.
