Police search for fleeing suspect

VIGO CO., Ind. (WTHI) - The US Marshal’s Service Fugitive Task Force is currently seeking help from the public in locating a wanted man who fled from task force members on June 20, 2012.

Members of the multi-agency task force attempted to serve a warrant on John R. Brown of Terre Haute in the area of 25 th  St. and Ft. Harrison Rd. when Brown and a male and female fled from the vehicle on foot.

Brown was captured minutes later, but the other male and female managed to elude law enforcement.

Task force members were able to determine the driver of the vehicle and the unidentified man who fled was Tyler Roderick Dix, 29, of Terre Haute, Indiana. Dix is white male, 6 feet 2 inches, 170 pounds.

In relation to the fleeing on June 20, Dix is wanted on a Vigo County Division 6 warrant for Resisting Law Enforcement and Operating a Vehicle as a Habitual Traffic Violator. Bond is $25,000.

On previous Vigo County Division 6 warrants, Dix is wanted for Failure to Appear on Criminal Recklessness Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury, Failure to Stop after an Accident, Operating a Vehicle as a Habitual Traffic Violator.

Dix is also wanted on a Clay Superior Court warrant for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated, no bond.

Concerning the female, the investigation is still ongoing.
